VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
- Sales - If your experience includes working in sales, your talents are needed in a number of areas. Opportunities include selling tickets in the Beer and Wine ticket booth, selling Irish Fest retail goods, CDs and tapes.
- Grounds Crew - For those not afraid of hard work, we need assistance setting up, then dismantling different areas of Irish Fest. Setup begins the week prior to the festival and take down occurs the Monday after Irish Fest closes.
- Paddy and Molly McFest - Kids of all ages love Paddy and Molly McFest. Help spread Irish Fest cheer as one of our lovable mascots. Volunteers are needed during the festival and throughout the year. Some height restrictions apply.
- Tea Room - Known for tasty cheesecakes, tortes, shamrock cookies and scones, the Tipperary Tea Room is a festival favorite. Volunteers are needed to serve desserts, coffee and tea, clean tables, and act as cashiers. Being able to stand on your feet is a requirement.
- Children's Activity Area - One of the areas that helped earn Irish Fest Metro PARENT Magazine's family favorite vote, the Children's Activity Area exposes wee ones to Irish Culture, storytelling, music and much more. Volunteers who like working with children are needed to supervise and help children with crafts and games.
- Volunteers at Large - Volunteers at Large fill time periods or areas that may otherwise go understaffed. We're looking for flexible volunteers willing to be placed where the need is greatest.
- Cultural Area - Volunteers in this area should have some knowledge and interest in the Irish culture and its rich history.
- Beer & Wine Pouring - These are the most popular areas and hardest to get assigned. However there are openings each year particularly in the later shifts. Volunteers must be 21 years of age.
- Gate Ticket Takers - As the saying goes, you only get one chance to make a first impression. As official Irish Fest greeters, ticket takers help make our first impression, so we're looking for friendly individuals with a ready smile to staff each gate. Volunteers will be on their feet for several hours.
